Breaking: FG finally orders all civil servants to resume October 19 ▷ Nigeria news

After spending almost seven months at home, all the federal civil servants have been ordered to resume their duties on Monday, October 19.

Legit.ng reports that this was disclosed on Thursday, October 15, by the chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, and the national coordinator of PTF, Sanni Aliyu, at the press briefing in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The civil servants were asked to stay at home since March when the lockdown was declared to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

Legit.ng recalls that only civil servants of Salary Grade Level 12 and above as well as those on essential duties have been going to work.

Mustapha, who is also the Secretary to the Government of Federation (SGF) directed that civil servants below SGL 12 can now resume work.

It, however, directed Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to ensure that they alternate the days the civil servants will be at work in order to ensure social distancing.
