The Lagos government has given a new and rather interesting update on the plan for the reopening of primary, secondary and tertiary schools in the state.
According to Gboyega Akosile, the chief press secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, all tertiary schools in the state will resume on Monday, September 14.
Akosile, in a tweet on Saturday, August 29, disclosed that both primary and secondary schools will tentatively be reopened on Monday, September 21.
The governor’s chief press secretary added that bars, lounges, spas and night clubs will remain closed throughout the state for now.
The tweet read: “All tertiary institutions in Lagos to reopen on September 14th. Primary and secondary schools may tentatively be reopened by 21st of Sept.
“Bars, lounges, Spas, night clubs remain closed for now!”
Moreover, during a press briefing in Marina, Lagos on Saturday, the governor said: “I am pleased to announce that our tertiary institution will be allowed to reopen from September 14, 2020, all our tertiary institutions.”
