Tyson Fury believes he can end his mega heavyweight fight in 2021 against Anthony Joshua in a first-round knock out.
Both British fighters signed a two-fight deal earlier in the year with all the belts in the heavyweight division put on the line.
In a question and answer session with fans on social media Fury claimed: “I would batter Joshua inside the first round.”
Joshua had made his prediction earlier in the week that it would take him six rounds to conquer his fellow Englishman.
“I have a lot of respect for the man, he’s a good family man and a good fighter, but on the other hand, I want to break his head.
“First six rounds, I think, well I know I’m going to take him out then. I have had a shorter career, so I’m fresher.
“I’ve been in the deep end longer so I can handle the pressure and I believe I’m going to take him out.
“Fury drew the first and then rejigged his game plan and took Wilder out and schooled him really but I think I’m faster than Wilder anyway, call it what you want, I believe I’m better,” Joshua said on Sky television show A League Of Their Own.
Fury will have to successfully defend his WBC trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder to make the fight with AJ happen.
On the other hand, Joshua is also hoping to beat Bulgarian Brut Kubrat Pulev later in the year to defend his titles.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that World boxing champion Anthony Joshua has offered himself to Spanish side Barcelona as a replacement for Argentine star Lionel Messi should he end up leaving Nou Camp.
After almost 20 years of playing at the Nou Camp, Messi has told the Catalans’ chiefs that he wants to leave this summer.
Issues of Messi wanting to leave Barcelona actually came up after the club’s Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich.
