World boxing champion Anthony Joshua has offered himself to Spanish side Barcelona as a replacement for Argentine star Lionel Messi should he end up leaving Nou Camp.
After almost 20 years of playing at the Nou Camp, Lionel Messi has told the Catalans’ chiefs that he wants to leave this summer.
Issues of Lionel Messi wanting to leave Barcelona actually came up after the club’s Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich.
Lionel Messi was reported to have been livid with the board and even the way new coach Ronald Koeman put his striking teammate Luis Suarez on transfer.
However, Lionel Messi has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, Manchester City or Paris-Saint-Germain with Barcelona chiefs ready to sell.
Anthony Joshua took to his Instagram story to show off his superb football skills claiming that he is ready to replace Lionel Messi at Barcelona.
Joshua did a series of keepy-uppies as he enjoyed a kick-about in the gym before sending his request to Barcelona over him replacing Lionel Messi.
He captioned the video: “@fcbarcelona If Messi goes I’m ready! Boxing ain’t getting any easier.”
