Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has spoken about her near-crash experience on her way back from United Arab Emirate (UAE) on Saturday, August 22.

The First Lady was travelling on Nigerian Air Force flight when the plane ran into turbulence.

In a thread of tweets via her official Twitter handle, Mrs Buhari commended the flight crew for their professionalism in handling the plane and landing safely.

The first lady had travelled to Dubai for medical treatment amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank all Nigerians for their prayers and well wishes while I was away for medical treatment.

“I am well now and fully recovered and have since returned back home, Nigeria,” she tweeted.

Recalling the near crash experience, the First Lady tweeted: “On our way back, the Nigerian Air Force Flight encountered a violent clear air turbulence which was navigated safely and professionally by the Captain and crew of the Flight.

“I want to commend and appreciate the courage and professionalism of the Captain and his crew, the wonderful gallant service men and women of the entire Nigerian Air Force for their dedication to duty and the quality of maintenance of its Fleet.

The first lady also recalled that she hosted Nigeria’s private healthcare providers earlier in the year, adding that thet had a very productive engagement.

She enjoined the healthcare providers to take advantage of the federal government’s initiative through the Central Bank of Nigeria guidelines for the operation of N100 billion Credit Support for the Healthcare Sector.

Meanwhile, a video of President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Mamman Daura in high spirits has emerged following conflicting reports that he had been flown to the United Kingdom for medical treatment. gathered that Johannes Tobi Wojuola a member of the president’s media team shared the video on his Twitter handle @Johannxs on Saturday, August 22.

Released in the wake of rumours stating that the president’s nephew was flown abroad for medical treatment, the video showed Daura dressed in native with a white cap whilst on a phone call.
